Hi, My Name Is Robin Liegey!
Hi, I’m Robin Liegey, founder of Rooted in Math, and I’m deeply passionate about helping students build true mathematical confidence—not just get the right answers. With 38 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with thousands of students and have seen firsthand how powerful it is when children truly understand math instead of memorizing procedures.
Throughout my career, I’ve also coached teachers to teach math conceptually, helping them shift instruction so students can make sense of numbers, use flexible strategies, and feel capable in their thinking. Rooted in Math was created to bring that same clarity, confidence, and joy to students who need a stronger foundation—and a belief that they can do math. 🌱
